Covid-19 Golf Protocols

WELCOME BACK TO GOLF AT PAJARO VALLEY GOLF CLUB

The County of Monterey Health Department modified the shelter in place order allowing golf courses and driving ranges to open with limitations based on specific Golf Safety Protocols.

We ask that everyone carefully review and adhere to these rules for your safety and to allow golf to remain open for the enjoyment of all!

If you feel sick or have any of the COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come on the golf club property. Frequent hand washing or use of hand sanitizer is encouraged.

THE CYPRESS GRILL AND BAR IS OPEN FOR LIMITED DINING ONLY AT THIS TIME

Reservations And Payments:

You are encouraged to make all tee time reservations in advance.
Reservations may be made online (www.pajarovalleygolf.com) or through our mobile app. If you don’t have the ability to use one of those methods, you may call the golf shop (831-724-3851) and reserve with one of our staff
Please be certain you provide a valid email address and phone number when making your reservation
There will be a limit of 4 golfers per group
Please have the courtesy of giving at least 24 hour notice of cancellation.
There will be a limited number of golf carts available with a limit of one golfer per cart. (Two golfers may ride together if they are from the same household.)
Reserving a golf cart does not guarantee we will have one available upon arrival. We will do our best to accommodate reservations and give priority to those with physical or health restrictions as well as members with a monthly cart.
There will also be a limited number of pull carts available. Please enter a note on your reservation if you are requesting one. Again, we cannot guarantee we will have one available upon arrival.
Non-golfers (spectators) and pets (except service animals) will not be allowed.

Prior To Arrival:

Each golfer must have their own set of clubs. Sharing of equipment will not be allowed and rental sets will not be available.
Golfers will be required to have a face covering and comply with the Monterey County Health Order dated April 28, 2020
Drinking fountains on the golf course will be turned off. Golfers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles or you may purchase bottled water from the Cypress Grill & Bar.
We strongly recommend downloading our mobile app to utilize the scorecard and GPS features. Also, if you enable push alerts, you will receive any important announcements relating to the golf course. (Pajaro Valley Golf Club Mobile App)

Upon Arrival:

Please do not arrive more than 15 – 30 minutes prior to your tee time to avoid social gathering.
You will have the option of having a receipt emailed to you. No printed receipts will be provided.
If you have reserved a cart and one is available, the golf shop staff will direct you to your assigned cart. All carts will be cleaned and sanitized before each use.
Physical distancing rules (minimum of 6 feet) are required at all times.
The restrooms in the Cypress Grill & Bar will be only be available for customer use in the clubhouse during clubhouse hours of operations.

On The Golf Course:

Reminder: Golfers may play in groups of up to four (4) maximum and are required to maintain physical distancing at all times.
All cups have an insert to prevent the ball from going inside the hole. When you ball hits the flagstick, the ball is considered “holed”.
Flagsticks must remain in the holes and are not to be handled at any time!
All ball washers and bunker rakes have been removed from the golf course.
Golfers may play “preferred lies” in the bunkers.
Restrooms on the golf course will be open with a limit of one person at a time. They will be sanitized regularly.
When possible, staff will be monitoring golfers to make sure they are following the Golf Safety Protocols.
If you see anyone not following these safety rules, please notify the Golf Shop Staff immediately.
Anyone found not following the stated rules will be asked to leave the golf facility.

After The Round:

If you rented a golf cart, please return it to the designated cart return area.
Please remove any garbage, recyclables, and organics and place them in the designated receptacles provided in the cart return area.
If you rented a pull cart, please return it to the golf shop or the cart attendant if it is after the golf shop is closed for the day.
